Sungold Soap is now making available this N-95 surgical mask that is used in healthcare setting environments. These masks have superior filtration abilities. In addition, leaks around the mask are more easily controlled due to the PFL (Positive Facial Lock) design. Flat bendable wires are integrated at the nose and chin areas. These assist in creating a non-leaking seal around the face. ONE SIZE FITS ALL. Latex free.

This NIOSH approved N-95 Particulate Respirator also employs a unique "Magic Arch" system. This creates a large, comfortable breathing chamber which does not restrict downward vision as cone and duck-bill style masks do. Moreover, its pleated design, which allows the mask to be opened up/stretched out when needed for use. Then, if not contaminated after use, it's design enables it to be refolded placed in an envelope or Zip Lock plastic bag and stored easily in a purse, pocket, fanny pack or auto glove compartment.

Risk of bird Flu, TB (the newest super TB infection and more resently COVID-19 is of concern right now), and other potentially airborne infectious diseases can be significantly mitigated with the filtration level of this mask (Meets CDC guidelines for TB exposure control). This mask provides filtration down to as little as .1 micron!!! It is rated at 95% BFE (Bacterial Filtration Level). It is not only appropriate as a barrier for bateria, but it can provide a degree of barrier protection against airborne viruses. Viruses are so tiny that it is extremely difficult to create a barrier directly against them. Larger bacteria are more easily blocked. However, during transmission (sneezing, for example), an airborne infectious disease is normally encapsulated in droplets of mucas or other bodily fluids. This means that if the droplet is stopped at the mask barrier, then so is the infectious agent. These masks are effective against particulate aerosols that are free of oil.

For optimal results, use a fresh mask each time. The mask is fluid resistant which further enhances its ability to ward off airborne infectious diseases that transmit through sneezing and/or coughing. Change this mask immediately if it comes into contact with blood or fluids, including body fluids. This product does NOT ELIMINATE the risk of contracting any disease or infection.

"Recent CDC infection control guidance documents provide recommendations that healthcare workers protect themselves from diseases potentially spread through the air (such as SARS or tuberculosis) by wearing a fit tested respirator at least as protective as a NIOSH-approved N-95 respirator."

"An N-95 respirator is one of nine types of disposable particulate respirators. Particulate respirators are also known as "air-purifying respirators" because they protect by filtering particles out of the air you breathe. Workers can wear any one of the particulate respirators for protection against diseases spread through the air- if they are NIOSH approved and if they have been properly fit tested and maintained. NIOSH-approved disposable respirators are marked with the manufacturer's name, the part number (P/N), the protection provided by the filter (e.g. N-95), and "NIOSH." "
